AI Assistant & Alarm Replay

July 4, 2026
General
Tools

This update to ControlCom Connect introduces smarter ways to interact with your industrial data and simulate system behavior. From AI-driven assistance to advanced alarm simulation, these tools are built to help plant managers and integrators troubleshoot faster and maintain higher uptime in water, wastewater, and manufacturing facilities.

Meet "Ask Bob" AI Assistant

Managing complex industrial monitoring systems is now easier with the introduction of Ask Bob, our new AI assistant. Designed to help you navigate and manage your facility data, Bob provides a more natural way to interact with the platform, helping you find information or status updates without digging through multiple menus.

Advanced Alarm Simulation and History

Understanding how your systems respond to critical events is essential for preventing downtime. We have added new tools to simulate and analyze alarm workflows.

  • Alarm Replay: Now you can replay multiple alarms simultaneously to simulate past events. This helps you analyze system behavior and verify that your notification logic works as expected.
  • Historical Data Import: You can now import historical alarm data directly into the platform, providing a more complete picture of long-term equipment performance.
  • Bulk Alarm Management: Save time during site commissioning by assigning alarm groups to multiple alarms at once.
  • Anomaly Incident Tracking: A new dedicated workflow allows you to manage and respond to detected anomalies, including improved detection for stuck or missing data points.

Greater Transparency for Variables

For integrators managing distributed assets via edge servers, debugging is now more straightforward. The platform now provides clear visibility into which edge server is writing to a specific variable, including its direct address. This ensures you can quickly trace data sources across your SCADA or PLC network.

Contextual Timeseries and Data Explorer

Data visualization is now more accurate with improved timeseries processing. Charts can now display preceding values, providing essential context for data points that occur at irregular intervals. Additionally, the Data Explorer has been updated to support a wider range of variables and features a 3-hour RAW mode time range for deep-dive analysis into recent events.

Energy Management and Bulk Setup

For commercial and industrial operators, the Energy Management module now supports the direct generation of tenant statements. You can also link utility bills to these statements for more accurate billing. For those setting up new sites, a new bulk import tool for device variables allows you to configure your hardware profiles in a fraction of the time.
