Operator Rounds & Generator
This update covers everything released in ControlCom Connect since August 4. The largest additions are Operator Rounds for recording manual readings, a Generator Event Report for documenting outages and FEMA claims, and a weekly digest of your organization's activity. Diagrams, the Data Explorer, dashboards, the Edge Server web interface and the Edge HMI panel also received a long list of improvements.
Operator Rounds
Technicians who walk the plant and write readings on paper or in a separate app can now record them in ControlCom Connect.
Log sheets: Build a log sheet for each piece of equipment or area, with items for readings (chiller amps, water chemistry, meter values), pass/fail inspections and notes. Items can depend on another item's answer, so follow-up questions appear only when they apply.
Shifts: Set shift start times so every entry is grouped under the shift it was recorded in.
Recording from a tablet: The record page works in a tablet browser. Readings outside their expected range are flagged as they are entered.
History, trends and export: Review past entries in a history grid, chart any reading over time, and export to CSV.
Import from LogCheck: Teams moving from LogCheck can import their existing log sheet definitions from Settings > General > Migrate from LogCheck instead of rebuilding them by hand.
Reports
Generator Event Reports: A new guided report documents how your generators performed during an outage. Set the event window, choose the generators, and the report pulls in each generator's runs, runtime, energy delivered and estimated fuel use, along with the alarms and manual events recorded during the event. If the outage was part of a FEMA-declared disaster, pick the declaration and the report takes its dates and declaration number from FEMA and prices equipment hours with the FEMA Schedule of Equipment Rates. A data provenance section lists which points and assumptions produced each number.
Weekly Digest: Every Monday at 8:00 AM in your organization's time zone, members receive a summary of the previous week: alarm activity, organization activity, and generator runtime for organizations with generators. The digest arrives by email and in the notification bell. Weeks with no activity appear in the app but do not send an email, and each member can opt out.
Send test to me: Scheduled reports have a Send test to me action so you can check the output before it goes to the full recipient list.
Consumption statements: Statements can be emailed straight to a tenant's billing contacts and printed from the statement list. The usage history on each statement is now drawn as bars to match the daily peaks chart.
PDF downloads: A progress notification shows while a PDF is being prepared and another when it is ready, and large reports are less likely to time out.
Print AI conversations: Conversations with the AI assistant can be printed or saved as PDF.
Diagrams
Folders: Organize diagrams into folders, the same way dashboards already work. The folder is kept when you duplicate a diagram.
Archive and restore: Filter the diagrams list by device or show archived diagrams, then restore them from the same list.
Smart alignment guides: Guides appear while you drag or resize an element, snapping it into line with the elements around it.
Help notes for operators: Any element can carry a short help note with a title and formatted text. When viewers turn on help mode, each documented element shows a numbered badge; tapping it opens the note and a plain description of what the element does when clicked. Controls are disabled while help mode is on, so an operator can explore a screen without sending a command. The AI assistant can answer questions such as "what does the Start button on the boiler screen do" from these notes.
Reusable components: Components placed from other diagrams are easier to work with. A new Edit button opens the source diagram, unassigned components can be pointed at a source directly on the canvas, components can take a color as a setting, and a component can now include its own command button. A settings row with a value and a Set button can be placed once per setting, with each copy sending its own command.
Unsaved changes warning: The editor warns you before you leave with unsaved work.
Image library: Uploads are checked before they are added, and images you no longer need can be deleted from the picker.
Pasting and adding elements: Pasted and newly added elements are offset slightly so they no longer land exactly on top of the original.
Download Configuration: Dashboards and diagrams have an Actions > Download Configuration option, and exports now include their images.
Data Explorer
Zoom by selection: Drag across the chart to zoom into a time range. The data interval adjusts automatically to the new range, and a zoom history lets you step back out.
Chart tools and annotations: A set of chart tools and a single annotations table make it easier to mark and review events on the timeline.
Shareable live view: Live mode is now part of the page link, so sharing or bookmarking the page keeps it live. Zooming in live mode rescales the live window instead of leaving live mode.
Series order: Series now appear in the order you added them.
Dashboards
Trend on single-value cards: Single-value cards can show a change indicator and a small trend line next to the current value, and support the average (AVG) calculation.
Smoother live graphs: Live graph cards no longer redraw constantly.
Card backgrounds: Background opacity is now saved correctly for every card type.
Alarms and Map
Alarm notes: Alarm events show how many notes have been added to them.
Occurrence counts: Alarm history shows how many times an alarm occurred in the selected period, and the count is included in exports.
Manual events in filters: Manual events recorded on an asset now appear when you filter alarm history by asset, location or asset type.
Map labels: Locations on the map can show a label, and the app sidebar stays visible on the map view.
Across the App
Sign in with Google: Existing users can sign in with their Google account.
Documentation panel: Help now opens in a side panel inside the app and starts on the page that matches what you are looking at.
Update notice: When a new version of ControlCom Connect is released, you are told in the app so you can refresh.
Saved list filters: Filters and search on the asset, dashboard, location and diagram lists are kept in the page link, so you can bookmark or share a filtered view.
Table density: Choose between comfortable and compact rows in data tables.
Organization switcher search: Find an organization by name when you belong to many.
Invite users: The invite user screen has been redesigned.
Date range picker: Select whole days and use presets when picking a date range.
Browser tab titles: Browser tabs show the name of the page and the item you are viewing.
Assets: Variables can be edited from an asset's variables page if you have permission.
Pipelines: An endpoint's page shows its execution counts and the most recent failure message.
Roles: The View and Editor roles can now see alarm configuration.
Accessibility: Many screens received better keyboard navigation, focus indicators, labels and color contrast.
Edge Server
New pages in the web interface: The Edge Server web interface now includes a Data Explorer and a Namespace page, with health information grouped under Diagnostics and a light and dark theme switcher.
Diagrams on the Edge Server: Diagrams can now be served locally by the Edge Server.
Modbus client: Modbus tags support string values, and the tag list has a live values toggle that shows each value as it is read, with On/Off states shown in color. Coil blocks with gaps in their addresses are now read correctly.
Onboarding: A banner shows when an Edge Server has not been onboarded, and leaving the onboarding flow partway through no longer breaks it.
Edge HMI Panel
Guided tours: The quick menu has a help button that starts a guided tour, with new guides for alarm history, the quick menu, the Data Explorer and optical transfer.
Operator manual: The panel can generate an operator manual with chapters for alarms, how-to steps, equipment inventory and screens, including the help notes written on each diagram.
Reset Panel: If the panel cannot reach the Edge Server, supervisors get a Reset Panel tile in the quick menu.
Performance: Graphics acceleration is on by default for smoother screens.
Clearer states: The sign-in screen explains when a group has no HMI users, and a panel with no start screen shows a message instead of opening the first dashboard.
Reliability: The panel stays up when its connection to the Edge Server restarts.
Ignition Module
ControlCom Connect now has a module for Ignition gateways that publishes selected Ignition tags to the platform.
Guided setup: A step-by-step setup connects the module to your organization, creates or attaches a device, and picks the tags to publish.
Published tags: Browse the gateway's tag tree, tick the tags you want, and press Save and sync. Search and a "Selected only" filter help in large tag trees.
Fixes
Copying a device's shared secret or app key now copies the real value instead of the masked one.
Sign-in shows "too many attempts" with a wait time instead of reporting invalid credentials, and the limit was raised so signing in with multi-factor authentication no longer locks users out.
Date filters on the login history and settings logs now follow your local day.
Asset map coordinates no longer have latitude and longitude swapped when falling back to the location.
Find and replace in the diagram editor no longer reverts a device rename.
Opening a diagram no longer marks it as having unsaved changes.
